BLUSH RASPBERRY CHIA JAM
WITH DELICIOUS SKIN-LOVING SUPERFOODS
πThis takes 5 minutes, maybe lesser, if your stove heated up faster. The perfect addition to your yogurt (as seen above), oatmeal, or spread over your toast or PB&J. No need for flavours, additives, preservatives and double the protein, vitamins and fiber!
Make sure you give this festive creation a go and always have some handy in the fridge as it's good for upto a week. The recipe is for half a cup of jam, so if you've tried it and enjoy it, don't be afraid to double or even triple up!
INGREDIENTS | HALF CUP JAM (~2 Servings)
π€1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
π€1 tbsp chia seeds
π€1 tbsp maple syrup
π€1 tsp lemon juice
π1 tbsp blush blend
DIRECTIONS
1. Turn on stove and set to medium-high heat. Place saucepan on and let it heat up.
2. Once hot, add raspberries to the pan and mix and mash to desired consistency using a potato masher or ladle. We like a little texture so we don't mash it too much.
3. Add chia seeds, maple syrup and lemon juice to the mixture in the pan. Stir and let it simmer for a few minutes.
3.Pull off stove and let mixture cool. You should see it start to thicken up. Once cool, add a tablespoon of the blush blend and mix well.
4. Empty mixture in a little jar and you can store it in your fridge for upto a week! And next time you plan on having a yummy and nutritious breakfast or a little snack, just add a spoon or two. Enjoy!
